Per the request of Marie here are hair dryer reviews!
Indirect heat (Hooded hair dryer)
Great for warp setting, partial drying, flexi rod sets, deep conditioning
My recommendation: Hot N Hotter Salon Hood Dryer (get it here)
Review: I really love this dryer and I’ve had it for about 2 years with no issues. It has four different heat settings and I use it mainly for DC’ing (deep conditioning) with a plastic cap as well as for flexi rod sets. It heats evenly and rather quickly compared to other hair dryers that I have tried. To use simply sit it on top of a table and move the chair under it! It’s by far the best hooded dryer that I have used.
Direct Heat (Hand held dryer)
Great for straightening hair during the drying process
My recommendation: Andis 82105 Ceramic Ionic Stlyer Hair Dryer (get it here)
Review: This is my go to for my heat passes (straight hair days monthly) and I have never nor will I ever purchase another hair hand held dryer. It comes with 3 different attachments, a small comb, a larger comb and a brush. Since I have a finer hair texture I use the smaller comb, but if you have medium to thick hair I would recommend using the larger comb. I have found the brush attachment to be ineffective for myself so I do not use it. This dryer has 3 different heat settings Low, Med, high and I blow dry on low or Med never High! I also really like this because it’s ceramic which means that it help lock in natural oils. For straight hair I would recommend using this to blow dry your hair.
Note: Please remember that anytime that you are using heat on your hair to apply a bit of heat protector, my favs are
- · CHI Silk Infusion
- · Silk Elements Olive Heat Spray
Hey B. I do have the Andis but I was using it on high...will change that and I use the smaller comb...will use the bigger one...
