My step by step process for hair washing, moisturizing and bantu knoting

Hi Ladies!

So I have had several people ask me about my process for hair washing so here is a step by step with pictures of what I do and the products that I use.

·         Shampoo with a good sulfate free shampoo

  • I shampoo the hair until I get a nice later and I wash twice when I use shampoo and once when I co-wash (wash with conditioner only)

  • I then condition my hair.. I LOVE Aussie Moist conditioner but I ran out so Im using this one

  • I let the conditioner sit on my hair for 1-2 mins and then I rinse (this is what my hair looks like with the conditioner in)

  • Once I rinse and towel blot hair dry I apply a bit of Miss Jessies "Curly Buttercreme" to detangle my hair

and I only use about this much...
  • Section hair to apply scalp oil and I like Gro Aut oil and Bhringraj oil (These oils and any oils grom the Gro Aut line should NOT be mixed

  • I then begin my natural style of choice and today Im going to do bantu knots and to do that I moisturize with Herbal Essences Long Term Relationship Leave-In Protector and I seal with either Coconut Oil or Extra Virgin Olive oil

  • This is how you do a bantu knots.. you section the hair and twist until you have a small roll then secure the twist with a hair pin

This is what the whole head looks like

  • Wrap hair in a silk scarf like this

Once I take them out tomorrow I will post the final pic

***Here is the finished product*** I decided to twist the front back and pin it and tuck the back in so that it could dry slowly

Product review: Gro Aut scalp oils

Ok so I finally decided to try to these raved about oils on my fav website http://www.hairlista.com/ where all of the ladies were gushing over the progress they saw. I started using the product and I had what I would call amazing progress! The GAO was very light and it absorbed quickly over night and was non-greasy at all the next morning. It helped with my dry scalp and never left a nasty film on my scalp. The oil can be purchased here. See below for my progress

Product Review: Best moisturizer!

Ladies,

Here is a review for the best moisturizer that I have ever used. Its Herbal Essence Long Term Relationship Leave-In split end protector. This is light weight very moisturizing and smells amazing. I like the way that it feels when I rub it together in my hands. I personally don’t like anything that is to watery or too thick and this is perfect. If you want to try it you can buy it here and see for yourself.

Straight hair tips for naturals

For my natural ladies if you would like to straighten your tresses then there are a few steps that you should take to protect your hair from heat damage
·         Wash your hair with a moisturizing shampoo ( I like CHI Nourish Intense shampoo)
·         Condition you hair (I like Aussie Moist conditioner)
·         Apply a protein treatment ( This should only be done once a month ( I like CHI Resconstructor)
·         Deep condition with heat and plastic cap for 10-15 mins ( I like Elasta QP DPR+11 deep conditioner and to this I add Jamaican Black castor oil and coconut oil)
·         Before blow drying apply a heat protector (I like CHI Silk Infusion)
·         Before flat ironing I mist hair with CHI 44 Iron Guard spray and use a bit more Silk Infusion

Taking care of your hair why applying heat is very important so be sure follow the steps above and you are on your way to healthy straight hair

Dear Miss Jessie Im in love with you

So a friend of mine gave me some Miss Jessie's products that she didn't want and I fell in love with them. The products are amazing for my natural curls and I love the way that they smell. They control frizz without weighing down my hair and honestly what more can a curly haired girl ask for?
